Harry Potter™: A Hogwarts Express Adventure is an hour-long live production that takes place aboard a slow-moving train. The show includes scripted segments, puppetry, illusions, live singing, and audience engagement. This one-of-a-kind experience celebrates iconic wizarding world moments from the films. Performers will engage in House competitions, spell-casting challenges, and whimsical activities while overcoming obstacles and delivering a heartwarming and meaningful message. This journey is more than entertainment—it’s a celebration of courage, ambition, loyalty, and wisdom. In the inaugural year of this event, the train will leave out of the Southern California Railway Museum. There are 3-5 of departures per show day with shows running up to 5 days a week. Seeking Actors for the Following Roles:
HOUSE HOSTS: All genders and ethnicities, to play 20-30; Actors/singers. Some movement required. Role also includes improvised audience interaction. Youthful and highly personable, Hosts guide our passengers along their journey. They each exemplify one of the four Hogwarts Houses. Hosts are the heart of the story- their journey mirrors that of the passengers.
GUARD: Male-identifying actor, all ethnicities, to play 30-45. Strong acting and comedy skills required. Some singing and minimal movement required. The quirky and loveable Guard guides the passengers along their adventure, facilitating magical moments and teaching valuable lessons.
TROLLEY ATTENDANT: All genders and ethnicities, to play 35-45; Strong acting required. Some singing and minimal movement required. This colorful character celebrates all things magical candy while also making sure that the journey stays on track.
PUPPETEER: All genders and ethnicities; experienced puppeteers or strong movers with interest in learning puppetry; Puppeteer brings an iconic and spine-chilling Hogwarts Express moment to life. Puppet requires physical exertion that will be repeated multiple times a day.
SWINGS: All genders and ethnicities, strong actors/singers. Movement and improvised audience interaction are also required. Swings will cover a variety of roles including both Actor and Puppeteer tracks. Seeking quick learners with versatility.
